Tôi chọn dùng tiếng Anh không phải khinh khi tiếng Việt mà là vì tôi thấy xấu hổ đã không đủ từ vựng để tả ý nghĩ của mình. Và nếu bạn nhìn kỹ một chút thì sẽ biết tôi đang cố gắng trao dồi thêm trí thức, cho mình thong thạo ngon ngữ của đất Mẹ hơn. Trong lúc này, tôi chưa đủ can đảm nên thường dùng tiếng anh chứ không có ý tỏ ra kiêu ngạo như bạn đạ lầm tưởng. Đã tỏ bày sự lúng túng như vậy thì tôi xin tiếp bàng tiếng anh để tả ý nghị của mình rõ ràng hơn:
What is the purpose of a petition and how does it work? A petition is a paper with signatures of people who are voicing an idea that they want to put in effect. This group of people sends this letter to their representative in government to get a law erected. That is the purpose of a petition. People have power through votes. Vietnamese citizens on the other hand, do not have the vote, so they in no way can influence the government and laws through a representative body.
So when you tell people to sign this “petition”, it is useless because their signatures do not have any significance!!!! That is the nature of a Communist state! I quote: huybailamos--- chà, cái này ý nghĩa thật đó ... mình kí một lúc mười mấy cái lun cho sướng ... It's a joke! When everybody does that, the petition has NO LEGITIMACY!!
My advice to you and all those who want to help victims of the war and agent orange is to send letters to the ambassador to the US, send letters to international health organizations and get enough funding from wealthy companies, entrepeneurs or philantropists to financially aid you in the research to stop the effects of agent orange on fetal deformities and other inflictions, to educate children on the consequeces of biological warfare, and NEVER ever forget the lessons of history.
